Offered for sale is this Former Stewart Haas Racing NASCAR Cup Car. This is a roller and the dash has been signed by Kurt Busch (see photos)! During the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season, Kurt Busch drove the No. 41 Ford Fusion for Stewart-Haas Racing, prominently featuring sponsorship from Monster Energy and Haas Automation. It was a standout final year with the team, during which Busch secured one victory at the chaotic Bristol Night Race. He also captured five pole positions and earned a total of 22 top-10 finishes on his way to finishing seventh in the final championship standings.
This is a very rare car as it is a Hendrick Motorsports Chassis with a Ford body.
Here is the historical breakdown of how these two powerhouse organizations shaped each other's legacies. This will explain the Hendrick Chassis with a Ford body.
In 2009 Tony Stewart left Joe Gibbs Racing to take a 50% stake in Haas's team, rebranding it as Stewart-Haas Racing. SHR contracted with Hendrick to receive top-tier, race-winning Chevrolet engines and chassis. By 2015, SHR had grown so powerful that they occasionally outperformed the flagship Hendrick cars. This caused internal tension, as Hendrick drivers expressed reservations about sharing data with a competitor that was beating them.
The 2016 "Divorce" and Move to Ford
In February 2016, SHR shocked the NASCAR world by announcing a multi-year manufacturer switch to Ford starting in 2017.
In-House Independence: Seeking to step out of Hendrick's shadow, SHR decided to build its own chassis and source power from Roush Yates Engines.
Cutting Ties: By the end of 2016, Hendrick Motorsports completely cut off data sharing with SHR. However, the B2B relationship never died; Hendrick continued to use and promote Haas Automation CNC machines in its race shops.
In this ad you will find a photo of the car on track in 2018.
